Triad Construction Inc. is a proud member of the Wisconsin Green Building Association and several of our staff have achieved LEED accreditation. President Werner Holentunder, LEED A.P., BD+C, Senior Project Manager, Kevin King, LEED A.P. BD+C and Project Engineer, Maggie Pugh, LEED G.A., are qualified to help the community in constructing sustainable buildings that reduce operating costs, increase energy and water efficiency, increase building valuation, and enhance occupant well-being.
Projects where Triad has put these accreditations to use include the Transportation Safety Authority (TSA) Offices in Franklin and PNC Bank Branch – Midtown, Milwaukee. PNC achieved a Silver rating with 54 points. All credits that were attempted were awarded.
Triad’s office has gone “green” as well by participating in a secure shredding program. Since starting the program in October 2011, an astonishing 1,005 pounds of paper has been shredded/recycled resulting in nine trees, 231 gallons of oil and 3,517 gallons of water being saved, 30 lbs. of air pollution being prevented, and 2,060 kw hours worth of electricity being conserved.
